First discovered by SarahJane from Tama-Zone, Bandai UK is planning to release a new Tamagotchi in December this year! Here is the answer to SarahJane's email: "Thank you for your enquiry. We are launching a new Tamagotchi on Boxing Day this year alongside a brand new website. Follow our Facebook page for more details nearer the time www.facebook.com/bandaiukKind regards Bandai UK Ltd" I emailed Bandai UK as well and got the same reply. I also emailed Bandai US and they said: "Bandai America Inc., appreciates your interest in Tamagotchi. "Our Sales teams are partnering with retailers in order to potentially bring Tamagotchi to the market throughout North America. Revisit www.bandai.com from time to time, or social media sites for any updates that might occur. Thank you, Customer Service Bandai America Inc." I think the Tamagotchi they MIGHT POTENTIALLY be bringing to the US is the English iD L... but what about the Bandai UK Tamagotchi? It must be something new because the UK already had the iD L! Plus, Bandai US just recently added all their Tamagotchi anime videos to a "season 1" playlist so they might be making more... I'm excited to see what's in store for Tamagotchi virtual pets!

Interesting. :D I hope if they indeed come out with a new Tamagotchi that it will be an awesome one(and preferably without having to buy add on stuff like figures or pins). Kinda weird that they're releasing it after Christmas though. I guess they're depending on all the birthdays.

Cool! I actually don't mind them sticking to greyscale and "low" resolution since that at least has some of the original tamagotchi in it. Also, the price which it is said to be (25$) seems much more reasonable than all those Japansese color tama's. If a color screen adds 30$ extra to a tama, I can totally understand why they don't do it(plus I don't mind anyway).
I'm looking forward for more info about it and to the website!
